April PTL Meeting Monday, April 6, 2009 1:30 – 3:00 In attendance: Jennifer Klammer, Kim Heede, LuAnn Ermer, Mr. Schultz, Bert Haase Meeting opened by Kim Heede at 1:30 with prayer
a. February Minutes Approved b. Treasurer Report – coming via email from Sherry Littlefield ($4968.22 balance) Current enrollment numbers for next school year are very similar to last year’s numbers at this time Principal’s Update – Mr. Schultz Mr. Schultz is working with Bruce Baillie- they are looking at different materials for ground covering for the playground Upcoming Fundraisers Papa’s Pizza night for Zion – April 21st Items and baskets are coming in Most feedback so far was that it went well Kelle Judah will be organizing carnival organizational meetings very soon Staff Appreciation week May 4th-8th Field Day May 22nd Sandbox update Sean Ermer presented his data to Mr. Schultz, Kim Heede and Jennifer Klammer on Friday, April 3rd. Next he will present it to the Scout Leadership on Wednesday, April 8th for final approval. Sean is working on obtaining some Health Department Structure permits and work should begin shortly on the project. Thanks Sean!!! February PTL Meeting In attendance: Jennifer Klammer, Kim Heede, Kris Owen, Sherry Littlefield, Pam Baillie, Anita Neilson, Maureen Sather, Marsha Murphy, Jonathan Schultz, Bert Haase, Linda Pozzesi Meeting opened by Kim Heede at 1:30 with prayer by Kim Heede PTL Reports School Projects *Live and Silent auction Fundraisers b. Papa’s pizza fundraiser will be on April 21st. As the date gets closer more information will be d. It was also mentioned that someone may be willing to sale Tupperware also. More information e. Also, Play it Again Sports is willing to do our sweatshirts and polo shirts. Thank you to Special Projects b. Staff gift given at end of year c. Idea of a child play area still in the works d. Update on the sandbox- Has been approved by Scout Master. Sean needs to submit paperwork still in order to get started. Estimated cost - $2000 e. Lion’s paw is now on the Website ---- Thank you Sharron(?), Bert (?) f. Indoor mural --- Melody is interested -more discussion to happen b. Treasurer Report – from Sherry Littlefield - Handout passed out detailing debits and credits to PTL acct. At this time we have a balance of $7979.31 c. NO School Committee Report d. Banner is being purchased!!!! Thank You Jennifer! School Projects ~the list if filling up please look to see how you can help b. Teachers Wish list - volunteer to organize and spot lighting two teaches per month d. Auction date change – we will update you as soon as we know Fundraisers ~Stock on hand to sell or you can purchase with an order form ~Available all year long ~Funds from scrip help with school projects. DID YOU SEE WHAT WE EARNED SO FAR IN THE HOME NOTE? $629.69 ~We will continue to have a table out Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings –Thank You Kelly for doing that for us!!!!!!! ~Order forms will begin to have due dates to return forms ~Calls will be made if there is a backorder issue with any order b. What does PTL do?
The purpose of PTL is to support the staff, students and parents of Zion Lutheran School.

You are automatically a member of the PTL as a parent or guardian of Zion student.
How can I join in?
There are many PTL sponsored activities throughout the school year. We encourage parents to come to the monthly meetings to find out more about current activities.
